Here is a brief bio so that folks who don't already know who Richard
Olsen is will have some idea.
Always had a cowboy
heart.
I have written and
performed country music most of my life. In 2001 I was signed by
Sonic Records. Six songs from the two cd's I recorded with Sonic
received extensive airplay worldwide. Several times I have been
one of the most played worldwide mainstream major and independent
label artists, with four different songs charting in the top 20
on the "indie" charts. This included "Guilt Trip"
topping the charts at number one, in September 2003.
I was a member of the NSPRA
(National Senior Pro Rodeo Association) where I competed in the bull
riding and bareback bronc rough stock events. I have a beautiful
and supportive wife (Rayne), who is also my manager.
I have my own music publishing company Swinging
West Music.
I have performed in concert with
such artists as Dan Seals, Doug Stone, John Conlee, Sylvia, T. G. Shepherd and Janie Frickie. I have performed
at western festivals and poetry gatherings throughout the mountain
west.
